New Rotary Cleaning System on the way

As mentioned in the previous posting, the American flexible rods are only good up to approx. 30ft. I've now been in contact with an American company which claims to have an improved cleaning head but can supply different thicknessess of flexible rods and with an improved button-locked system. Once we have tested and evaluated this equipment I will let you know the name and how it performed.

Through the busy period I have been testing another American rotary cleaning system called the Soot-Eater. I have found it ideal for flexible liners up to 35ft and between 6" and 8" diameter. Unlike the English flexible rods the American rods have not sheared under high torque settings. (I do not recommend any rotary cleaning equipment on pre-66 lime and cement liners).

Vacuum Equipment

Vacuum: As you know I favour the Sturdy Vac vacuum and to date the only criticism that competitors can make is the noise factor. Today I've just tested a new twin-motor plastic-cased head and have found it is considerably quieter than the old metal head. Field trials to follow so I'll keep you informed.
