APICS recognised chimney sweeping, when done poorly, can be dangerous to the sweep as well as to the property owner.

APICS decided to form an Association which allows chimney sweeps to remain independent, but to become a member each sweep would have to meet a high standard of professionalism within the chimney sweep sector.

APICS aim is to improve chimney sweeps knowledge while improving safety standards and giving the public a government recognised body they can trust.
